History:

My name is Robert St. Clair, and I am the owner and president of Luxury Bath Systems and Kitchen Design Studio. I started in the construction business in 1967 while working part time for Sutherland Lumber Company and going through high school. Between the years of 1967 and 1985, I worked in the lumber and flooring business where I owned and managed different businesses.

In 1985 I started First Service Building & Remodeling, which continues as the installation arm of Luxury Bath & Kitchen.

After 15 successful years in the remodeling business, I realized the apparent need for a dedicated bath showroom for the Rockford community. In the fall of 2000 I acquired the building housing the current Luxury Bath Showroom in Loves Park, IL. The design and remodeling of the showroom was completely performed by First Service Building & Remodeling.

One of my primary goals in open the showroom was to offer quality bath products not normally found in the big box stores. In addition to these products I also realized that there was a growing need for products to service the disabled and the "Aging In Place" market.

Through months of research as well as trips to manufacturers across the country, the team at Luxury Bath has been able to accumulate one of the largest selections of accessible showers, walk-in bathtubs, and quality fixtures in the midwest, not to mention the only local franchise owner of an Acrylic bathtub and wall lining company.

The 3500 square foot showroom opened on April 1st of 2001. Since this time there have been many other products added, including three lines of kitchen cabinets, replacement doors and windows, 3-season rooms and dedicated products for mold free basement remodeling.

During this time First Service Industries, Inc. was formed with First Service Building & Remodeling and Luxury Bath being subsidiaries of the corporation. First Service currently employs over 11 employees and continues to grow in order to provide quality service to Rockford, Northern Illinois and the Southern Wisconsin areas.
